Prof. Lakshmi Nagarajan is a Senior Child Neurologist and Epileptologist from Perth Children's Hospital, University of Western Australia, Australia. Dr. Nagarajan is a full-time clinician involved in the diagnosis and treatment of the wide spectrum of neurological disorders that affect children. Dr. Nagarajan's main interests and clinical expertise include neonatal neurology, seizures in neonates, epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology.
There have been important and groundbreaking advances in the field of neonatal neurology and neuromuscular disorders resulting in a change in the diagnostic pathway for a baby with hypotonia. The level of intervention has changed significantly. The importance of a detailed examination for targeting investigations, interpreting genetic and other findings and instituting early, at the time, revolutionary therapy will be emphasized in this talk.
