Symposium on Cerebral Palsy organised by the Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IAP) Kerala Neurology Chapter in connection with the World Cerebral Palsy Day celebrations.

ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA EPILEPSY WEEK MARCH 25 – 30, 2019 Theme: “Empowering Persons with Epilepsy, their families and their love ones.” Hosted by the Ministry of Health and the Environment in collaboration with the Medical Benefits Scheme (MBS) and the Mount St. John’s Medical Center (MSJMC).   

The meeting was divided in 3 sections: Symposium and medical mission in San Miguel, El Salvador: Part A. Mini epilepsy symposium for pediatricians on 2/24/19. The symposium focused on recognition of common epilepsy syndromes and paroxysmal non epileptic events. Audience: Around 70 participants, mainly Pediatricians. The initiative for this meeting was taken by Dr Lakshmi Nagarajan from the ICNA.The international Teaching faculty for this congress was Drs Pratibha Singhi, Sunit Singhi, Soumya Ghosh and Lakshmi Nagarajan. The faculty had a warm welcome from the staff of HCMC Children’s Hospital 2. Of the 3 hospitals in HCMC, Children's Hospital 2 is the only one with Paediatric Neurology. Dr Ghosh and Dr Nagarajan visited the Neurology ward. There were 14 neurology medical staff in total including residents and consultants. The hospital had upto 140 inpatients/day and performed ~ 90 EEGs/day. The nursing staff recorded the EEGs.There...

The symposium was held at Karachi, Pakistan from November 17-18/2017 and consisted of didactic lectures delivered in a practical format. The meeting was hosted by National Institute of Child Health (NICH) Karachi, supported by the ICNA and CNS. Dr. Jamal Raza ( Director, National Institute of Child Health. Karachi, Pakistan. Professor - Head of Pediatric Department) coordinated the meeting, which was deemed a success with over 80 participants including paediatric and adult neurologists. The Paediatric Neurology teaching course in Lahore on Nov 9-11, 2017 was organised by Dr Tipu Sultan with support from the International Child Neurology Association (ICNA) and the Child Neurology Society (CNS) United States. The Children's Hospital and Institute of Child Health, Lahore hosted the meeting.
