The Future Leaders of the International Child Neurology Association (FLICNA) was established in November 2019 to represent the aspirations of young colleagues within the ICNA community. Operating under the ICNA banner, the FLICNA Committee provides a platform for networking and shared thinking among junior child neurologists.

FLICNA enjoys the autonomy to conduct their own elections and organize activities, while receiving support and guidance from the ICNA Board members, senior ICNA members, and the Home Office for administrative and promotional needs.

With a two-year term basis, the first chair, Dr. Esra Serdaroglu from Türkiye, served from November 2019 to October 2022, followed by the current chair, Dr. Juhi Gupta from India, who assumed leadership in October 2022. FLICNA, now comprising 51 members worldwide and growing, organizes popular monthly FLICNA Podcasts, Journal Club sessions, and case discussions on child neurology topics. These podcasts, held every third Saturday and available on ICNApedia, attract over 200 participants monthly.
