Course Description: The participant will gain knowledge regarding the appropriate use of MRI in the neonatal period under a variety of conditions. In particular, the parent and clinician perspectives will be highlighted so as to inform the decision-making process.
Learning Objectives
- Make an informed decision about when to obtain an MRI in the newborn period.
- Understand what MRI offers in conditions such as neonatal stroke, hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, congenital heart disease and extreme prematurity.
