Course Description: The participant will gain knowledge regarding the appropriate use of MRI in the neonatal period under a variety of conditions. In particular, the parent and clinician perspectives will be highlighted so as to inform the decision-making process.

Learning Objectives

  1. Make an informed decision about when to obtain an MRI in the newborn period.
  2. Understand what MRI offers in conditions such as neonatal stroke, hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, congenital heart disease and extreme prematurity.
