Neurocutaneous Syndrome - Iberoamerican Network (in Spanish)

Course Description: The aim of the Iberoamerican network is to implement an international collaboration where healthcare professionals (pediatric epileptologists, pediatric neurologist, geneticists, neurosurgeons, pediatricians, psychologists, nurses, etc.), affected families and caregivers from different countries share their field of expertise, knowledge and experiences. A platform enables sharing and empowers families.

The main objective of the symposium is to emphasize the importance of early diagnosis, adequate treatment and precise follow-up in the more prevalent Neurocutaneous Diseases. Learning Objectives

1. Learn about the spectrum of clinical presentation, importance of early diagnosis, adequate treatment and accurate follow up.
2. Have a clear understanding of the benefits of having a multidisciplinary team for the treatment and surveillance of patients and their families.

Impact Statements

1. Use of appropriate diagnostic and treatment algorithms concerning the management of these patients.
2. Development of a multidisciplinary approach.
