Dr Lekha Pandit is a professor of Neurology and Director of Centre for Advanced Neurological Research, at Nitte University, Mangalore, India. Her clinical and research interests include observational studies and analysis of treatment effects in patients with multiple sclerosis and related disorders, development of diagnostic assays and biomarkers and the study of genetic and environmental associations. She has authored over 185 publications in peer reviewed journals and has contributed 16 chapters. Dr Pandit has been a recipient of the Fulbright-Nehru fellowship and is an awardee of the National Academy of Science ,India. She has a special interest in supporting access to care in resource-poor settings and is associated with the MS International Federation’s (MSIF) access to care efforts. She is the current secretary of the Pan Asian committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (PACTRIMS)
