Esra Serdaroglu
Child Neurologist, Gazi University Faculty of Medicine
Esra Serdaroglu, MD PhD, is a pediatric neurologist in Gazi University, Turkiye.
She graduated from Hacettepe University. She was selected for Turkiye’s first MD-PhD program and completed a thesis on Neurofibromatosis in the Department of Medical Biology. She completed pediatric residency and later pediatric neurology fellowship in the same university.
She received an EPNS fellowship award to visit Complex Motor Disorders Service in Evelina London Children's Hospital under the supervision of Dr. Jean-Pierre Lin. She is interested in the semiological assessment and management of movement disorders (especially dystonia), the outcome measures and deep brain stimulation practices.
She is actively involved in FLICNA (former Chair), YEPNS (young EPNS), and pediatric special interest group of Movement Disorder Society (former steering committee member).
She published a collaborative fictional short story book (Ellinin Kiri) with fellow authors in 2022 for the benefit of student bursaries.
