Thiviya Selvanathan

Dr. Thiviya Selvanathan is an early-career Clinician Scientist at the University of British Columbia and BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver, Canada. She is a Pediatric Neurologist with additional subspecialty expertise in Neonatal Neurology and completed her clinical and research training at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. Dr. Selvanathan is passionate about studying early childhood brain development using advanced neuroimaging techniques. Her research focuses on understanding how brain injury, clinical factors and social determinants of health impact early brain development in infants at high risk for developmental disabilities, with a focus on improving child health outcomes.
