Dr Naveen Sankhyan is the Chair of Pediatric Neurology at the Advanced Pediatrics Centre, Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh, India. He is a teacher, clinician, and researcher. His research has targeted improving outcomes in neurological immune-mediated disorders in children. Apart from this, he has an interest in tropical conditions like infections and nutritional deficiency with neurological consequences in children. Dr Naveen directs or participates in several single and multi-center studies on Neuroimmunology, and Tropical Neurology including the largest ongoing SURE trial in Childhood Tuberculous meningitis. He has published over 270 peer-reviewed papers including multiple studies addressing neuroimmunological disorders and neurological conditions that affect children in resource-limited settings like neurological manifestations of vitamin B-12 deficiency in children in India.
