Biju Hameed

Dr. Biju Hameed serves as the Head of Paediatric Neurosciences at Mubadala Health. He is a Consultant Paediatric Neurologist at both MH Dubai and Danat Al Emarat Women & Children's Hospital in Abu Dhabi. Dr. Hameed's clinical interests focus on movement disorders and acquired brain injury in childhood, including traumatic brain injury and neurorehabilitation.

Dr. Hameed previously held the position of Consultant in Paediatric Neurology and Neurodisability at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London. His training in Paediatrics and Paediatric Neurology was undertaken in the United Kingdom at Leicester Royal Infirmary and Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. Before his tenure at Great Ormond Street Hospital, he worked as a Consultant Paediatric Neurologist at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children and contributed significantly to the Movement Disorder Service.

In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Hameed is actively involved in professional organizations. He serves on the Executive Board of the International Child Neurology Association (ICNA) and chairs its Education Committee. He is also a Program Director for the International Child Neurology Teaching Network (ICNTN).

Dr. Hameed's research interests encompass neuroprotection, excitotoxicity, and the application of neuroscience in neurorehabilitation. He also has a profound interest in the history of neurosciences, contributing to his comprehensive expertise in the field.
