Inviting nominations for John Stobo Prichard & Sheila Wallace International Fellowship Awards

The ICNA is now accepting applications for the John Stobo Prichard Award lecture. The lecture will be awarded to a young child neurologist who has made a significant contribution to clinical and/or basic research. The Nominating Committee consists of eighteen ICNA members representing the six geographic regions of the ICNA.

1. The candidate should be nominated by three members of the ICNA.

2. The candidate should be 45 years old or younger at the time of the ICNA congress in Iguazu, Brazil May 04-09 2014.

3. The nominating members should describe the candidate and his/her work and they should make clear why they consider the candidate’s work so relevant to the field of child neurology.

4. The candidate should be a child neurologist and an active member of the ICNA.

5. The nominating letter should be e-mailed to the Chairman of the Nominating Committee: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

6. The deadline for nomination will be May 20, 2013.

7. From all the proposed names, the Nominating Committee will choose and rate the three most appropriate candidates in order of preference.

8. The candidates selected by the Nominating Committee will be proposed for final decision at the Executive Board meeting in Kaunas, May 28-29, 2013.

9. The award lecturer will be invited to present a lecture during a plenary session at the 2014 ICNA Congress in Brazil.

10. The successful candidate will receive $1000 towards travel to the congress, the costs of 3 nights’ accommodation (as selected by the committee) and the registration will be waived.

Sheila Wallace International Fellowship

The ICNA is now accepting applications for the Sheila Wallace International Fellowship Award which will sponsor $1000 towards travel to the congress, the costs of 3 nights’ accommodation (as selected by the committee) and the registration fee for a young Child Neurologist who has made a significant contribution to clinical research in his/her developing country to attend the 13th International Child Neurology Congress to be held in Iguazu, Brazil in 2014.

The Selection Committee consists of 18 members, of which three will come from each of the six ICNA geographic regions.

1. The candidate should be nominated by two members of the ICNA.

2. The candidate should be 45 years old or younger at the commencement of the ICNA congress in Iguazu, Brazil  May 04-09 2014.

3. The nominating members should describe the candidate and his/her work and they should make clear why they consider the candidate’s work so relevant to the field of child neurology.

4. The candidate should be a child neurologist and an active member of the ICNA, trained in an under-resourced country and practising child neurology in an academic setting.
