Our symposium aims to highlight the importance of evaluating the nutritional status of children with neurological impairment (Cerebral Palsy) and present the optimal solution to fulfill patients’ nutritional needs. It is expected to report cases encountered while determining the micro and macronutrient deficits, examining the intestinal microflora, determining the nutritional needs, while advising a practical nutritional algorithm to be followed. In the light of ESPGHAN guidelines, we also aim to underline importance of tube feeding & fiber content, estimating energy needs, caloric restriction and high vs. low caloric formula for low mobility patients. Finally, innovative solutions from industry such as real food and peptide based Oral Nutritional Solutions (ONS).
