Dr Hon is Professor in Paediatrics at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He received undergraduate medical education (MBBS) at the University of Western Australia. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatricians (FAAP) and Fellow of Critical Care Medicine (FCCM). His Doctor of Medicine (MD) thesis is on the assessment of eczema. He has published widely and his research interests include respiratory infections (including SARS), childhood injuries and poisoning, evaluation of eczema and the use of traditional Chinese medicine in treating eczema. He has also obtained postgraduate trainings in the following fields: Diploma of Child Health: University of Otago, New Zealand 1989 Diploma in Practical Dermatology: University of Wales College of Medicine, UK 2000 Postgraduate Diploma in Aviation Medicine: University of Otago, NZ 2002
