Dr. Ingrid Tein is founder and Director of the Neurometabolic Clinic and Research Laboratory, Staff Neurologist in the Division of Neurology, and Senior Associate Scientist in the Genetics and Genome Biology
Program of the Research Institute at the Hospital for Sick Children and Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology at the University of Toronto.

Her expertise is in the investigation and treatment of children with disorders of mitochondrial metabolism and cofactor-responsive encephalopathies.

Her Research Lab focuses on the biochemical/molecular investigation of fatty acid oxidation defects and development of in vitro disease models to understand the pathophysiology in order to develop new therapies.

Dr. Tein is currently President-Elect of ICNA.
