Conference Policies

Peer Review Process

This review policy is followed for all academic papers submitted to the The International Child Neurology Congresses of the ICNA (ICNC)

In the first instance, contributors are asked to submit a 250 word abstract of their work. The abstracts are double-blind reviewed by members of the Scientific Program Review Committee for the ICNC2014

The review focuses on 8 issues intended to ensure that the paper is relevant to the conference, is of a sufficiently high quality to be accepted for presentation at the conference and publication in the conference proceedings and meets the submission criteria laid down by the programme committee.

A copy of the review form that is sent to reviewers can be seen here.

Please rate the following: (5 excellent, 1poor) 5 4 3 2 1 N/A
1 Relevance to the conference
2 Contribution to academic debate
3 Standard of English
4 Appropriateness of the research/study method
5 Relevance and clarity of drawings graphs and tables
6 Use and number of keywords/key phrases
7 Discussion and conclusions
8 Reference list, adequate and correctly cited

In the event that a reviewer rejects a paper, a second opinion will be taken and the final decision about acceptance made by the programme chair.

The conference proceedings are produced in both printed and electronic form with ISBN numbers.

Submission dates can be clearly found on the ICNC web site
