A regional ICNA educational meeting was recently held in Bogota, Colombia, on September 30th and October 1st, 2016. This meeting was organized as a joint collaboration with the Colombian Association of Pediatric Neurology (ASCONI). The local organizing committee included Dr. Maria Fernanda Lengua, current president of the ASCONI, with the excellent logistic support of Drs. Blanca Rodriguez, Martha Piñeros, and Pilar Guerrero. The conference was held at the Sonesta Hotel in Bogota, and was attended by most of the ASCONI members, over 95 colleagues who travelled to Bogota from all over the country.The conference program included 4 sessions with 4 lectures...

This project was organized by the Child Neurology Society (CNS) in collaboration with the International Child Neurology Association (ICNA) and Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) - Muhimbili Hospital. Dr. Edward Kija worked with the University and the Medical Center in the organization of this medical project. Dr. Edward Kija is the 2015 D’Souza awardee and the only Pediatric Neurologist in the country. The goal of the project was to provide support to Dr. Kija, improving the infrastructure of the EEG laboratory and providing training workshops (EEG interpretation, ketogenic diet). As an educational activity of the International Child Neurology Association (ICNA), a joint meeting was organized with Tabriz University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) as the 16th National and 3rd International Child Neurology Congress, 14-16 September 2016, in Tabriz, Iran. The theme was neurodevelopmental disabilities in children for the child neurologist in practice. Under the auspices of ICNA, a Peruvian educational meeting was held on November 9 and 10th, 2015, in Lima. Dr. Pilar Medina was our host. She was able to get enough funds to bring together 60 neurologists from all over the country. The meeting took place at the Hotel Business Tower in San Borja district, Lima. The room remained crowded during the two-day event, from 8:00 am until 6:30 pm. Four sessions were carried out: movement disorders, epilepsy, metabolic diseases and demyelinating diseases.
